If you've stumbled on this page, welcome to Bookworm at Hart! This is a passion project created, by me, Pippa Hartnell, to share my love of children's books with fellow parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, educators and friends!

Kids learn from us, in the way we respond to reading books, and develop an enquiring mind based on those early interactions with us and books. If we can foster a love of kids' books and engage with our children in a meaningful way when reading to them (or with them) - we will give our children an easy head-start in life.

Even more than that, I believe books can be an invaluable resource when it comes to navigating the little challenges that confront our kids. Books can be the perfect conversation starter when it comes to tackling tricky topics and in some cases, they don't even need an explanation. Planting a seed may be all that it takes...

What I've come to realise is that for many hard-working, busy adults, knowing where to look or what books to choose is the hardest part. I intend to make that side of things easier for you by reviewing some of my favourite books (covering various topics), sharing what we get in our regular library hauls, providing easy links for those looking to expand their home book selection or gift offering, and providing general inspiration to keep reading with those gorgeously curious kiddy-winkles!
